Responsibility
- established in 1887 on London’s New Bond Street, Smythson has since become synonymous with beautiful, functional and timeless pieces
- from cutting stock and bordering/gilding orders to working in our gold stamping department personalising leather products
- you will be trained to use our Polar guillotine and bordering and gilding equipment, along with the gold stamping presses
- operating all other print finishing machinery
- inspecting work in progress to assure quality standards are met before prepping and cutting, finishing or stamping orders
- from bags and accessories to leather-bound notebooks, diaries, stationery and home accessories; every Smythson piece embodies meticulous craft and an unmistakable sense of British sophistication
- our handcrafted stationery including our luxury writing paper and elegantly engraved cards and invitations are all produced within in the UK, at our production site in Swindon
- ensuring customers order instructions are correctly followed and any issues raised with the team leader or supervisor
