- experience in SME manufacturing environment
- demonstrable experience in a similar role
- experience with ISO9001, 14001, 45001
- experience with EA permits, landfill operations and WM3 waste acceptance
- RIDDOR and accident investigation experience
- awareness of environmental marketplace for third party processors, receivers and handlers of waste
Responsibility
- monitoring the organisation’s environmental performance against internal and external compliance targets
- developing, implementing and driving environmental strategies and policies
- carrying out environmental audits and assessments
- report on environmental audits and make recommendations for future policies and strategy
- drive the environmental strategy forward to ensure corporate sustainable development
- keep up-to-date with the latest environmental legislation with UK, EU and international regulation and legislation
- identify hazards, performing risk assessments and implementing control measures to ensure the risk of injury is reduced or eliminated
- promote awareness of the impact of environmental decisions across the organisation
