- load and unload vehicles onto the low loader using a winch
- ensure every customer receives a quality service
- no two jobs are the same, so you need to be able to think for yourself and enjoy solving issues
- maintain and clean the vehicle and associated equipment
- assist in general yard duties as and when required. This is a team effort
Requirements
- valid driving license for Class c&e including upto date CPC card and tachograph card
- experience of at least 2 years driving c&e, and a minimum of 25 years old for insurance purposes
- capability to use chains and straps to secure your load
- this will all be shown in training, but a basic understanding is essential
- previous experience in recovery is not essential, as full training will be required
- strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards in the workplace
- mechanical knowledge would be a great asset to have , as some vehicle will not start, you may need to supply air to the casualty vehicle and or remove half shafts / prop shafts
- truck driving: 2 years
