we are seeking an experienced UK based Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team
your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budgetary constraints and meeting quality standards
as a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and controlling costs throughout the construction lifecycle of new builds, renovations, and commercial conversions
collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to explore alternative materials, methods, and technologies
provide recommendations to enhance project profitability while maintaining quality and client expectations
Education
bachelor's
Requirements
bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on new builds, renovations, and commercial conversions
in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex data
proficient in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis
excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers
detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
professional certifications or affiliations are advantageous
Contract type
assist in the preparation and evaluation of contracts, including analyzing contractual obligations and risks
conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify cost implications, and evaluate work completed
review and negotiate claims, disputes, and variations, ensuring compliance with contract terms
