Responsibility

  • we are seeking an experienced UK based Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team
  • your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budgetary constraints and meeting quality standards
  • as a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and controlling costs throughout the construction lifecycle of new builds, renovations, and commercial conversions
  • collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to explore alternative materials, methods, and technologies
  • provide recommendations to enhance project profitability while maintaining quality and client expectations

Education

  • bachelor's

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on new builds, renovations, and commercial conversions
  • in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex data
  • proficient in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • professional certifications or affiliations are advantageous

Contract type

  • assist in the preparation and evaluation of contracts, including analyzing contractual obligations and risks
  • conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify cost implications, and evaluate work completed
  • review and negotiate claims, disputes, and variations, ensuring compliance with contract terms
  • collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve contractual issues and disputes
