J EDGAR & SON is looking for employees for positions:
- we are looking to recruit a new technician to work alongside our present aftersales team in our new extended workshop
- the ideal candidate would be an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician, MOT tester would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
- demonstrate capability and confidence in using systems and equipment within the workshop
- working as part of a team to achieve the best results for the customer
- technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles
- all applications will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence
- perform MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines
- inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with emissions standards
- identify and document any defects or issues found during the testing process
- advise customers on necessary repairs or maintenance needed to pass the MOT test
- keep accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained
- maintain a clean and organized work area
- valid MOT Tester license
- strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and automotive systems
- attention to detail and ability to accurately diagnose issues
- excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers
- ability to work efficiently and independently
- we are looking to recruit an experienced Receptionist/Advisor to join the Aftersales team in our very busy Service Department
- quantity of hours can be discussed
- this position would suit someone who is looking to work during school hours
- strong Communication and Organisational Skills with proven Customer-Facing Experience
- enthusiastic, friendly and Self-Motivated Attitude
- computer and time management skills including database and diary administration
- confidence to use all methods of customer communication, including online bookings, phone calls, and in-person interactions
- ability to provide a hassle-free experience whilst guiding and assisting customers
- demonstrate capability and confidence in using systems and equipment within the workshop
- working as part of a team to achieve the best results for the customer
- technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles
