Responsibility
- manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- oversee the implementation and utilisation of warehouse management systems to enhance productivity
- coordinate transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery of goods
- supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in warehouse processes
- collaborate with third-party logistics providers to optimise supply chain efficiency
- maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock control measures
- ensure the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment within the warehouse
Requirements
- proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role within the supply chain sector
- strong knowledge of transportation management systems and warehouse management systems
- familiarity with business processes related to logistics and inventory management
- experience working with third-party logistics providers is advantageous
- demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment
- knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred
- proficiency in operating forklifts and understanding safety regulations related to warehouse operations
