Responsibility
- provide 1 hour of person-centred support to each resident, each week
- assist residents with their daily activities, including budgeting, medication management, mental health, shopping wisely, signposting, and developing independent living skills
- promote independence and empower residents to achieve their goals and aspirations - assisting residents to get closer to independent living
- create a safe and supportive environment for residents, maintaining their privacy and dignity
- build meaningful relationships with residents, offering emotional support, companionship, and signposting to external agencies
- collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support
- maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to residents support and progress towards independent living
- INTU Housing Solutions is a specialist Supported Housing services provider based in Birmingham. We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team
Requirements
- previous experience as a Support Worker in Supported Housing or in a similar role is ideal
- experience in Supported Exempt Housing is ideal- having experience with Registered Social Landlord paperwork/frameworks
- level 2 or above in Health & Social Care, or Adult Care is essential
- willing to work on a self-employed basis
- current Enhanced DBS in place/update service, or willing to complete one
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- compassionate nature and genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
