INTEGRATED SERVICES PROGRAMME is looking for employees for positions:
payroll officer
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- to oversee the maintenance of the monthly payroll records using the existing and/or future payroll software
- maintain records relating to expenses and benefits, including regularly comparing car fleet records with payroll records and resolving any differences
- and to ensure that permanent changes have been made to the employee payroll records
- to assist in the preparation of statutory year-end tax returns such as P35, P60, P14 and P11D’s
- reconcile payroll records and record information relevant to year end on a monthly basis
- produce monthly payroll summaries, ad-hoc reports and create and export a file to interface with the nominal ledger
- maintain information required for P11D - business miles, payments for medical health care etc
- to record and pay over to the Revenue all income tax, national insurance, statutory payments and student loans
Requirements
- ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- payroll knowledge and understanding of UK payroll legislation
- ability to prioritise workloads
- CIPP or equivalent qualification desirable
- be numerate
- experience of process active payrolls
- ability to work effectively under pressure and handle changing priorities
- flexible in approach with strong organisational and prioritisation skills
