ground worker
Responsibility
- prepare job sites by setting up and organizing materials and equipment
- dig trenches/pits and assist with groundwork tasks for the installation of Fire Protection equipment
- operate plant machinery safely and efficiently
- lay foundations, including concrete, bricks, or block paving as per each job specification
- assist in the installation and maintenance of Fire Protection equipment
- transport tools, materials, and supplies to and from the job site
- follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- assist with the removal of debris and waste materials in accordance with safety regulations
Requirements
- previous experience in groundwork or labouring is required
- previous experience or exposure to the Fire Protection industry is a plus
- ability to operate basic construction machinery
- strong physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods
- good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites
- excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- A valid CSCS / Machinery qualifications are preferred but not essential
- willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to groundwork
