Responsibility

  • to process new business, renewals, mid- term changes, endorsements, reinsurance, quotations and other departmental tasks
  • if a voidance is agreed a letter is to be drafted for sign off
  • answer internal and external telephone queries in line with internal service standards and own limits of authority
  • adhere to all departmental internal service standards, internal processes and procedures
  • to underwrite household policies in accordance with guidelines and principals referring to the Technical Home Controller/ Senior Underwriters where necessary
  • process new and existing agency enquiries in line with internal service standards and own limits of authority
  • to adhere to the Company’s technical underwriting philosophies
  • to process new business, renewals, mid- term changes, endorsements, reinsurance, quotations and other departmental tasks to support the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer Home /Technical Home Controller/Senior Underwriters

Requirements

  • fielding high volume calls: 1 year
  • home underwriting within the insurance industry: 1 year
  • financial services: 1 year
  • underwriting risks and liaising with Intermediaries: 1 year
  • understanding TCF principles: 1 year
  • highly accurate with good attention to detail
