INSURANCE PERSONNEL SELECTION is looking for employees for positions:
engineer
Responsibility
- monitor job progress within specified schedules
- assist in the development of SolidWorks, Tekla and other CAD systems and standards
- check drawings
- review and comment on/approve seller drawings
- liaise with sub-contractors with regard to contracted-out drawings
- provide layouts, general arrangement and detail drawings in Solid Works and Tekla in full accordance with company standards and clients’ project specifications
- maintain drawing office records
- work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the project design requirements, liaising with interested parties and attending meetings as required
Requirements
- high standard of analytical & technical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with foreign clients, colleagues and suppliers
- able to liaise and co-ordinate with staff of all levels in multiple offices around the world
- excellent draughting skills with the ability to produce engineering drawings neatly and accurately
- qualifications to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline is preferred however candidates with a strong project engineering background within a technical environment will be considered.* our client will also consider a graduate with perhaps 1-2 years experience with a good working knowledge of CAD
- previous experience of working in a parametric 3D modelling environment is essential, ideally using SolidWorks. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Tekla is advantageous
