Responsibility
- design and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- teach a variety of dance styles, ensuring that each class is informative, enjoyable, and promotes creativity
- provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- organise and prepare students for shows or showcases as required
- maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth
- collaborate with other instructors to develop class schedules and curriculum enhancements
- ensure the studio is kept clean, safe, and well-organised for all participants
- stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to continually enhance teaching methods
Requirements
- proven experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role within the performing arts sector
- proficiency in various dance styles
- strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
- A genuine passion for teaching and fostering a love for dance in others
- certification in dance instruction or relevant qualifications is advantageous but not essential. ISTD Ballet specifically
- first Aid certification and DBS checked
- teaching: 1 year
Education
- A-Level or equivalent
