carpenter
Responsibility
- carry out and oversee high-end carpentry and finishing work, including doors, skirtings, architraves, cabinetry, and other woodwork
- supervise and coordinate finishing trades such as decorators, tilers, and flooring specialists
- ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with project specifications
- manage timelines and quality control, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
- work closely with the project manager to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
- maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations
- conduct final quality checks and snagging to ensure a flawless finish
Requirements
- proven experience as a high-end carpenter and/or finishing foreman in residential construction
- strong knowledge of high-quality finishing techniques and materials
- ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors while maintaining high standards
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- strong communication and organisational skills
- own tools and transport preferred
