Requirements

  • previous experience in a customer facing IT support role
  • technical knowledge of a wide range of computing systems, hardware and software including knowledge of Microsoft Windows and macOS
  • good working knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Network Drives and Azure technologies
  • experience with Syncro or equivalent
  • occasional travel to client sites as required
  • experience of maintaining and troubleshooting networks such as CCNA, DNA or equivalent
  • educated to college or University degree level in computer related discipline or equivalent
  • confident user of Microsoft 365 and windows servers

Responsibility

  • provide technical IT support to clients via helpdesk or telephone, taking ownership of issues and managing them through to resolution
  • act as point of escalation for junior Technician’s in the team facing challenges with a task of client
  • implementation of client projects which are assigned
  • title: IT Helpdesk Technician
  • be engaged and productive when directly supporting client requests and projects
  • contract: Full-time, Permanent
  • configure and fix hardware, servers, networks, email accounts, back-ups on IT devices
  • location : Hybrid – office in Glasgow city centre, option to occasionally work from home, travel to client sites as required
