Responsibility
- you must be available to attend site visits within the Midlands, United Kingdom
- the work involves mainly inspections and reports on building defects and structural design of alterations and extensions, both domestic and commercial
- undertaking structural engineering analysis and design under the supervision of a senior engineer
- it would suit a person who doesn’t want to go back to commuting
- production of design calculations in accordance with relevant codes of practice
- we are a structural consultancy practice based in Nottingham, focusing on providing a high level of client service and employee engagement in a friendly and supportive environment
- prepare drawings from engineer’s sketches
- basic working knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD is essential
Requirements
- some experience as a Structural Design Engineer
- strong problem solving abilities and creativity
- good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- can work well in a small team
- proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- experience in design software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds
- good understanding of Building Structures
- good client association and communication
