Responsibility
- understanding any employee relations trends and devise interventions to improve engagement and retention
- working closely with managers to proactively manage sickness absence and identify trends
- implementing the learning and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
- partnering with the business to ensure a deep understanding of business strategy and implement high-quality HR practices to support business and departmental goals
- ensuring the employee onboarding experience helps starters feel welcome and able to perform
- managing and resolving employee relations issues , conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations where appropriate and providing advice to business leaders on ways to manage each case
- reporting using the HR system to gain insight into people data and sharing with managers to make data conscious decisions
- providing regular coaching and guidance to line managers on performance management, ER issues and development and encouraging the use of the manager toolkit
Requirements
- generalist HR background gained in fast paced environments
- strong employment law knowledge
- experience of handling employee relations cases
- relevant HR qualification preferred
- demonstrable experience of leading HR initiatives from start to completion
- confident advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
