Requirements
- A degree in Geology or related subject, ideally with practical modules encompassing field work
- A full, clean Driving License
- based within an easily commutable distance to Manchester City Centre office
Responsibility
- ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are followed during all field work practices
- accurate and precise recording of fieldwork data, and clear, concise presentation of such data
- liaising with clients, subcontractors and staff in both office and field settings
- preparing client reports, including environmental risk assessments, remedial recommendations, foundation recommendations and coal mining risk assessments; and
- assisting senior staff with preparations of reports, drawings, models and fee proposals
- co-ordination, supervision and management of ground investigations, including Phase 1 studies, Phase 2 investigations and subsequent monitoring and remediation works
- able to apply a commercial appraisal to projects, ensuring that value for money is paramount in all work undertaken
