Requirements
- ideally Educated through an apprenticeship or technical program with certification in machine shop technology machinist or machine tool technology machinist
- equivalent on the job experience will be sufficient if no technical education above was completed
- knowledge and experience of operating CNC machine tools
- experience on DMG Mori machines will be advantageous
- ideally trained on or have experience using Heidenhain and/or Siemens controls, if not training will be given
- able to use key measuring tools and equipment
- CNC Milling and/or Turning: 2 years
- CNC Milling/Turning: 2 years
Responsibility
- perform basic quality control checks of own parts to verify quality
- verify tooling/insert inventory and request replenishments
- monitor machining operations, analyse information and observations to intervene in the event of malfunctions, breakdowns and machining errors
- any other reasonable requests for which the necessary skills, knowledge or experience are apparent
