Responsibility
- read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings to determine the sewing requirements for each PVC product
- select and install the appropriate needles, threads, and machine accessories based on the fabric and product specifications
- sew, stitch, and assemble PVC components using the industrial sewing machines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards
- perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
- inspect finished products for defects, such as loose stitches, irregular sewing, or incorrect measurements, and make necessary corrections or adjustments
- collaborate with the production team to prioritize work orders, meet production targets, and ensure efficient workflow
- set up and operate industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, double-needle, overlock, and cover stitch machines, according to product specifications and quality standards
- maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment
Requirements
- proven experience as an Industrial Sewing Machinist or similar role, preferably in the PVC or textile industry
- proficient in operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, double-needle, overlock, and coverstitch machines
- strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabric properties, and sewing machine adjustments
- ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings
- excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot sewing machine issues
- sewing: 1 year
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and meet tight deadlines
