- providing support to colleagues on payroll-related issues
- assisting in the ongoing design of the company’s payroll solution, including workflows, integration capabilities and user experience
- supporting the ongoing management of payroll partner relationships
- reporting on progress, issues, metrics around the payroll initiative on a regular basis
- preparing monthly payrolls according to clients’ instructions in compliance with UK employment law as it affects payroll
- meeting set targets in terms of objectives and key results
- articulating the product’s value proposition to help prospective clients understand how it will improve their business’s processes and provide value to their employees
- working closely with all internal stakeholders across Product Development, Operations/Support and Client Services to ensure the product can be supported and operated cost-effectively and at scale
Requirements
- understanding of the basics of workplace pensions is essential but full training on the product/service will be provided
- given the domain, basic mathematics capabilities are a prerequisite
- as stated previously, the role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, along with a personable and empathetic manner to convince stakeholders on product direction. Flexibility, tenacity and a degree of humility are key
- must be able to work well as part of a team, but equally able to demonstrate the ability to work without excessive supervision on a standalone basis – must therefore be a self-starter
- payroll: 2 years
- A current payroll qualification would be an asset , but isn’t mandatory. Likewise practical experience with KeyPay or another cloud-based payroll solution
