Responsibility
- day-to-day leadership of maintenance engineers
- respond to breakdowns and solve problems in a timely manner with urgency
- assist with all aspects of new equipment installation and capital projects
- ensure equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements
- work with contractors as needed
- maintain accurate and complete departmental /company records
- conduct repairs to all site facilities
- ensure 100% availability of production and site critical equipment. Ensure compliance & develop the preventative maintenance duties to maintain optimum equipment availability
Education
- proven ability to troubleshoot under high pressure
- experience in an automated production facility, warehousing and distribution operations
- experience in fresh food industry required
- GCSE's, NVQ3, ONC/D, C&G 2330, 17/18th Ed
- experience Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations
Requirements
- multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems
- ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical schematics required
- demonstrated skills/certification in general maintenance, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing PLC logic, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
- urgency, problem solving
- strong Communication skills at all levels
- communicates written and verbally effectively
- engineering Managerial: 4 years
