Responsibility

  • we are a small Community Interest Company , providing Supported Living accommodation in the Brighton and Hove area
  • we are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Supported Living Housing Officer with strong organisational skills to join our team
  • conduct regular property visits to ensure the properties meet health, safety, and quality standards
  • this is a part-time role with flexible hours, allowing you to work from home while also conducting regular property visits
  • maintain positive relationships with tenants, offering support, advice, and assistance with any housing-related matters
  • coordinate tenancy agreements, including new tenancy sign-ups, completing housing benefit applications, liaising with DWP and arrears management
  • you will be responsible for providing housing management support to our tenants, coordinating services, and promoting independent living
  • work collaboratively with the mental health care team, support workers and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans

Requirements

  • previous experience in housing management, ideally within the Supported Living sector
  • knowledge of housing regulations , tenancy agreements and arrears management
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with tenants, support workers, and external stakeholders
  • strong organisational and admin skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively
  • ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • flexibility to conduct property visits as required, holding a valid UK driver's license
  • understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to promote a safe living environment
  • empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach when supporting individuals with diverse needs
