Responsibility

  • assess vehicle to establish extent of damage and ensure correct repair or replace method is used
  • removed damaged panels
  • strip and fit trim and panel interior
  • refit new or repaired panels ensuring correct alignment
  • repair damaged bodywork, dents, holes or corroded areas
  • correct use of any specialised pulling equipment provided by the Company
  • apply correct knowledge in use of welding, its procedures and Health & Safety requirements in the use of welding
  • prepare vehicles ready to be re-sprayed ensuring correct formulations, preparation methods, application sequence, timing and material use

Requirements

  • relevant qualification i.e. ATA, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds and/or a minimum of three years’ experience
  • ATA AOM 009-14 in Resistance Spot Welding
  • to action any other reasonable request from your Line Manager or Company Director and assist the team as applicable
  • ATA AOM 009-14 in Mag Welding
  • panel Bonding Certified, although certification can be provided
  • competent in the skill of Mig Brazing
  • proven experience of delivering high quality repairs
  • demonstrate a commitment to continued learning by participating in on-going training and any other industry related training requirements

Responsibility

  • ● Undertake the exterior polishing of vehicles using the correct materials and tools
  • ● Carry out touch in’s where needed or required
  • ● Assess and identify different finished coatings i.e. textures
  • ● Have the correct product knowledge for Trim, Leather and Plastic repairs i.e. adhesion promoters, flexible additives, fillers and stoppers
  • ● Identify paint codes and mix colour
  • ● Ensure correct degreasing and cleaning materials are used
  • ● Fill areas with filler to attain smooth surface
  • perform all refinish procedures ensuring all formulations, preparation, top coating and curing to meet with recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and material usage

Requirements

  • ● Relevant qualification i.e. ATA, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds and/or a minimum of three years’ experience
  • ● Proven experience of delivering high quality finishes
  • to action any other reasonable request from Line Manager, Technical Manager Company Director and assist the team as applicable
  • to action any other reasonable request from your Line Manager or Company Director and assist the team as applicable
  • ● Knowledge of water based spraying skills
  • ● Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning by participating in on-going training and any other industry related training requirements
  • ● Able to meet targets and deadlines
  • ● Ability to work effectively under pressure
