Responsibility
- prepare and weld metal parts using appropriate welding methods and procedures
- use of all appropriate welding tools and equipment
- clean up all areas of the job
- inspect welded parts to make sure they meet requirements
- report any defects to the supervisor
- ensure that all safety requirements are followed
- complete all assigned work in a timely manner
- keep work area clean and organized
Requirements
- previous experience in metal fabrication or welding preferred, but not required
- experience with MIG essential and TIG welding preferred
- ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- ability to follow instructions and follow quality standards
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- experience on Press Brake &/or Punch Press would also be an advantage
- ability to write legibly; able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics; ability to communicate effectively with other employees
