Responsibility
- perform gardening and groundskeeping duties, including mowing lawns, strimming boarders, trimming shrubs, maintaining flower beds, pruning, leaf collecting
- tidying, weeding and clearing pathways and driveways
- trimming hedges and tree surgery
- pond maintenance and water features, feeding fish and ducks and birds
- perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing fixtures, painting fencing and gates and patching walls, other maintenance jobs
- an opportunity for long term, part time work, for an enthusiastic Gardner /Handy person to maintain approximately 3 acres of grounds adjacent to two private residences in a lovely hamlet with beautiful gardens and views near Thornbury, South Gloucestershire
- occasionally helping out with duties other than gardening
- conduct routine inspections of premises and identify any issues or repairs needed
Requirements
- strong knowledge of garden maintenance and horticulture
- help with design, selection and planting of new shrubs
- proficiency in using hand and power tools
- ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve maintenance issues
- excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- strong attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
- comfortable with dogs large and small
