Responsibility
- managing development, performance, and maintenance of teams to ensure we continue to deliver an efficient service, maximising performance, value, and profitability
- developing and implementing effective operations with a view to focus on continual depot improvements
- maintain knowledge of the Health, Safety and Quality Management, to confidentially address non-compliance and create a positive workplace culture
- H&M Distribution are a well-respected distribution company that were formed in January 2007, offering first-class transport and warehousing services
- H&M St Neots are a Palletways member and deliver circa 400 pallets per day for Palletways members
- we also have our own customer base of and deliver circa 250 pallets per day into the network
- assist with the development of customer relationships
- as the Depot Manager, you will be responsible for managing office staff, warehouse staff and drivers, as well as the legal compliance of numerous vehicles and trailers
Requirements
- proficient knowledge of transport legislation
- excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- ability to work with all levels of the organisation and depots
- ability to prioritise large volumes of demands and tasks
- strong influencer and instil confidence will all levels of the team
- strong attention to detail
- mult-tasking skill and good organisational abilities
- 3+ years’ experience within a similar role
