Responsibility

  • we cater for the needs of around 50 children aged 0 - 5 years
  • we provide breakfast, a cooked lunch, and afternoon tea as well as snacks and desserts
  • dietary needs must be met
  • the Chef is responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen that meets Environmental Health requirements in order to uphold our 5\* rating
  • we are seeking to employ a friendly, energetic person to provide all meals and snacks for children aged 0 - 5 years old following nursery menus and recipes provided
  • the person we employ will be able to follow a kitchen schedule and associated protocols put in place to support the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, including opening and closing checks and temperature control records
  • chef is responsible for presenting food in a manner that is pleasing, taking care to add garnishes and condiments where these are part of the meal
  • we are a day nursery based in Mitcham, neatly nested between Hackbridge and Mitcham Junction and we are seeking to employ a chef to work as part of our team whilst our current chef is absent. Hours of work will be 8:00am - 4:30pm
