Responsibility
- through good housekeeping procedures, ensuring that a safe and clean working environment is kept at all times
- to conduct audits, to include site visits as necessary, of supplier’s quality systems and processes in order to support the procurement team in developing strong partnerships with critical suppliers
- ensure all incidents to include personal injury, hazards and near misses are recorded and investigated with corrective/preventative action taken as necessary
- ensure that adequate Fire precautions are in place such as fire drills, extinguishers, clear exits etc
- reporting and liaison on matters of health and safety with relevant external bodies
- meet regularly with the general manager and management team to ensure effective communication of information and effective implementation of new initiatives relative to quality and health and safety
