Responsibility

  • carry out quality assurance checks regularly both office-based and on site
  • to be responsible for management, coordination and control of allocated resources to ensure the delivery of excellent housing services and ensuring that all aspects such as quality, tenancy conduct, ASB, nuisance, rent recovery and resident involvement services are delivered to the highest standards in line with customer needs, expectations whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, legislation and the law
  • to be responsible for management, coordination and control of allocated resources to ensure the delivery of excellent housing services and ensuring that all aspects such as property repairs, cyclical maintenance, quality, tenancy conduct, ASB, nuisance, rent recovery and resident involvement services are delivered to the highest standards in line with customer needs, expectations whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, legislation and the law
  • ensure compliance with organisational requirements for GDPR, risk management, safeguarding, fire safety, health & safety and other legal and statutory requirements along with best practice and general duty of care
  • to contribute effectively to the development of the Board objectives, ensuring ownership of responsibilities and targets to the small operational team
  • to research and explore costs of identified improvements and provide value for money options for consideration
  • to develop and achieve performance targets and improvement plans across our portfolio with a focus on continuous improvement and value for money, ensuring that a performance culture is developed and sustained within the team and wider partners
  • regularly review and manage through One 2 One and appraisals individual and team performance making appropriate interventions and taking action promptly where required

Requirements

  • significant experience of working in a Housing Environment in particular Supported Housing
  • experience of working with customers with learning difficulties, mental health diagnosis and physical health conditions
  • experience of managing staff
  • strong working knowledge of Social Housing Legislation, the Social Housing Sector and Regulatory Requirements
  • A demonstrable working knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law
  • excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • ability to challenge and question
