Responsibility
- creating and developing 3D models and assemblies using Solidworks
- creating 2D drawings to common BSI drafting standards using AutoCAD
- creating and maintaining individual product manufacturing document packages
- updating and revising drawing changes as requested by Production and Product Development
- checking drafts and ensuring accuracy and completeness
- managing drawing logs in product data management system
- providing support for the Production and Product Development departments
- managing drawing files and drawing and quality standards
Requirements
- A minimum of a HNC/D qualification in Electrical Engineering or experience in a similar role
- knowledge of Mechanical Engineering design of components and assemblies for electro-mechanical equipment and electronic packaging
- experience using 2D and 3D CAD software
- knowledge of Engineering Design principles
- A good understanding of material properties and the applications of various materials including steel and alloy sheet, cast and machined aluminium, cast resins and polymers
- 2D/3D CAD: 1 year
