Requirements
- able to plan, organise, prioritise, delegate and review varying work of volunteers/paid staff
- able to persuade and influence, through negotiation, staff/volunteers on how to develop good and consistent retail practices
- able to quickly learn and/or develop excellent internet skills to efficiently promote stock via Facebook, eBay etc
- working within retail, with particular regard to floor layouts, merchandising, customer service and contact, working in a team environment, basic IT, administration and simple analysis of figures
- able to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds
- customer service: 2 years
- able to take responsibility for your own and team's development and learning
- managing volunteers: 1 year
Responsibility
- maintaining Effective Stock Management & Merchandising
- to recruit, induct and provide essential and effective training for all volunteers
- to ensure that security procedures are understood and implemented by all volunteers
- responsible to: Hetty’s Chief Executive
- ensure that a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times
- to ensure all volunteers maintain a high standard of customer care
- to carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the Trading Manager
- to take action to ensure the shop is adequately manned, setting and maintaining rotas
