Responsibility
- our team comprises of dedicated, enthusiastic and specially trained staff, including Occupational Therapists, Approved Driving Instructors, office staff and volunteers
- this is a specialist field of work and full training will be given
- herts Ability is an independent charity and one of 20 Accredited Mobility Assessment Centres in the UK that specialises in enabling outdoor independence for people who have a disability or who need help getting back to driving
- we are seeking an enthusiastic occupational therapist to join our expanding team at our South Oxhey and Welwyn Garden City Centres. Newly qualified OTs are welcome to apply
- initially, you will be working alongside and supervised by experienced OTs, and an interest in Neuro and/or Mental Health will be an advantage
- we work closely with, and accept referrals from NHS colleagues, GPs, the DVLA, Motability etc, and also operate an open referral system for those who wish to self-refer
- CPD opportunities are actively encouraged, with an expectation to undertake post-graduate qualifications in this field of work. The applicant must possess good communication and assessment skills and a full driving licence
- documenting and assessing, as well as creating reports for the evaluations
