Responsibility
- working on projects across all RIBA stages; from concept through design development and site assurance
- critical evaluation and refinement of all aspects of building and design to ensure it meets the exacting standards of Passivhaus
- to work collaboratively with clients to deliver cost effective, unique, and attractive solutions to complex design challenges
- prepare and develop PHPP files including coordinating 3D models with PHPP
- overseeing the MEP strategy for Passivhaus projects with support from MEP engineers
- the role will be supporting our Passivhaus team on numerous large scale, world-leading, progressive construction projects
- input into technical specifications, schedules and assessment reports
- passivhaus planning and assessment for numerous large-scale projects with a focus on Passivhaus, MEP, building form and fabric, building physics, airtightness and thermal bridging
Requirements
- A passion for sustainable energy design
- BSc or Higher Diploma in Engineering or Architecture
- knowledge of low carbon technologies and sustainable design concepts
- member of RIBA, ARB, CIBSE or similar, preferably chartered
- certified Passivhaus Designer/Consultant desirable but not essential
- experience in design and assurance of large-scale building projects desirable
- comfortable proactively engaging with clients, stakeholders and colleagues to ensure project goals are achieved
- highly organised and able to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines
