Responsibility

  • the delivery of good and safe care for our children
  • ensuring the effective up-keep and running of the home to maintain high standards for the children
  • ensuring staff are provided and undertake professional and personal development and training to meet the demands of the job
  • ensuring the development of up-to-date theory and practices and the implementation of these within the home
  • undertaking health & safety duties appropriate with the role and in line with the companies Health & Safety Policy
  • ensuring confidential information is handled and stored in line with company safeguarding, data protection and other relevant policies
  • working occasional shift patterns, including bank holidays, nights, evenings and/or weekends to support the effective management of the home. This would only be when absence or staff shortage cannot be covered
  • undertaking any other such duties, training and/or working hours that may reasonably be required in line with the responsibility of the job

Requirements

  • responsibility for ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in accordance with Heartlands Group health and safety policies and procedures
  • responsibility for maintaining a record of all children in our care including their admittance and/or transition to another provision or service
  • to ensure that working practices of staff are in accordance with the
  • ensuring staffing is maintained at operational levels within the home. You will liaise with the Head of residential Services to arrange recruitment and assist in interviewing new staff
