Requirements

  • reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible
  • A commitment to quality in all areas, with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm
  • minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • able to perform under stress
  • experience/Knowledge
  • A creative thinker
  • A minimum of 2 years working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance
  • A good sense of humour

Responsibility

  • ensuring health and safety standards are met and maintain accurate and effective records
  • to ensure that the baby room provides a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
  • ensuring staff are fulfilling their duties and responsibilities within their room to their full potential
  • carry out peer observations on staff and support and challenge them to becoming better practitioners
  • to help ensure the baby room meets Ofsted requirements at all times
  • ensure all children are assessed and planned for appropriately and are benefitting from high standards of learning and development
  • to undertake designated officer roles as appropriate
  • promoting positive relationships between staff members
