Responsibility
- apprentice Fitter to work with Mechanical Maintenance team in South West
- carry out a 4 year apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering Maintenance attending college on a day release program
- whilst working alongside Hanson Aggregates Maintenance Engineering Team
- monitoring and maintaining the running of the plant, equipment and systems in line with a preventative maintenance schedule
- reacting immediately to emergency breakdowns of plant and equipment
- ensuring that equipment is reliable and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
- to train as an engineering operative apprentice too level 2 and then Level 3 standard, to undertake a structured training program of academic study and workshop and on-Site work in order to gain the required skills and knowledge to carry out planned maintenance and inspection duties and to keep accurate records in accordance with management requirements, to be qualified in highlighting and resolve potential problems in order to maximize plant availability and eliminate unplanned downtime
- implementing modifications in the manufacturing process
