- computer-aided design techniques to generate PCB layout/artworks eg Proteus
- prototyping and bench testing, validation of potential solutions against requirements
- electronics packaging at prototype stage to create a coherent instrument
- firmware development in embedded C
Requirements
- 5 years industry experience relevant to the main responsibilities of the role
- excellent communication skills, verbal and written; can communicate complex issues to project stakeholders
- commercial awareness; ability to factor cost, quality and reliability into a design
- team player; able to work well in a diverse, multifunctional team
- electronics design/development in an industry setting: 5 years
- electronics industry: 5 years
- EMC Compliance: 3 years
