AVOID at all costs. Absolutely disgusting service received. I have now been without a car for 3 months only to be declined after an appeal was made.
Our original claim was declined due to being 1 day late to submit , even though when we called we were told the claim does not expire the link does. When we asked for the call recording, we were conveniently told the calls are not recorded.
We then appealed and eventually Handler protect sent their "own mechanic" to check the fault on my gearbox. We were then declined again due to the cars age and mileage. This is after jumping through hoops with their ridiculous requests of sending photos , getting detailed reports ect ect ect. The garage stated they have never been requested to provide so many reports and photos, however they were kind enough to keep my car on premises while handler was busy with the appeal . So after detailed reports from a gear box specialist with photos of the cars mileage ect they still rejected the claim. The excuses from handler is endless, they will find anything not to pay out. They knew the fault , the mileage and the age of the car before sending out a mechanic and then decline the claim based on age and mileage??? ... Makes no sense at all. Lesson learned. Let this be a warning to anyone considering handler protect. Unless your car is brand new will very little mileage I doubt they will cover anything and even then I'm convinced they will find a loop hole not to pay. Very disappointing indeed. I will also be taking this matter to the ombudsman
GEARBOX ISSUE, took garage time to collect my car, and time to dismantle for a full report. It is not a small work and it took the garage over 30days to done all of it and this brilliant warrantly company didnt care because they can claim it is over 30days since i reported the issue and they will start the count down rightaway, like i have own my own garage and be able to control how they work.
paid the gold package and i got this reply is 100% a scam.
'Please refer to the claims logged email that you received on 16/01/24 which does state that from when a claim is logged you
would have 30 days to provide all of the requested information to proceed with a successful claim.
The claims process is the same for every customer and does need to be followed.
Based on the information provided and as the claims process was not followed this claims decision has been upheld and this claim
is declined.'
Shit, no matter how much proof they ask amd how much proof you provide there is always another hoop you have to jump through there the worst company I have ever dealt with it is literally a scam
Handler protect are a warranty company that use ever excuse not to pay ,avoid any car with their warranty
How’s the work at HANDLER PROTECT SERVICES? It seems to be getting better, but unfortunately we still lack new information.
