HALLHOUSE CARE is looking for employees for positions:
cook
Responsibility
- prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals, as and when required
- bake cakes and pastries
- provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks
- conduct Basic Food Hygiene training for all care staff involved in handling and delivery of food
- maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence
- maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer/fridge temperatures
- ensure stock rotation
- assist in the ordering of stocks and checking of deliveries
Requirements
- city & Guilds 706 1 & 2, or equivalent qualification
- team player
- experience of food preparation for the relevant Service User group
- basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- experience working in a care environment would be advantageous but not a deal-breaker
- good communication skills
- ability to work on own initiative
Contract type
- £11.44 - £12 per hour
- 40 hours per week (2 days per week as cook / 3 days per week as kitchen assistant
- uniform provided
