- to take responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety, Information Security and Risk Management regarding delegated areas of responsibility, ensuring ExtraCare’s Policies and Requirements are fully implemented, monitored, and adhered to at all times by all staff
- notice when there is a change with the resident regarding physical, emotional, and general wellbeing and report appropriately in a timely manner
- to report any concerns that you come across where you feel any members of the team are not adhering to Policies or Procedures
- must be willing and able to travel to other Villages, Schemes or Head Office for the purpose of training, development and care delivery, as required
- maintain professional relationships with the resident, their family/advocate and other relevant health and social care professionals. Always maintain confidentiality and promote General Data Protection Regulation
- ensure that the residents health is always promoted, this requires the postholder to have a good understanding of practice in line with infection prevention, the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment and a good understanding of illnesses often associated with the resident population, i.e
- this post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure, two satisfactory references, full work history, medical clearance and Home Office right to work clearance
- to be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties as required, following the cleaning schedules for the location, this will also include the working office and communal areas
Requirements
- care certificate
- RQF/NVQ L2 in Health and Social Care
- moving and handling training

- excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently, calmly, and independently, using your own initiative especially in an emergency
- person-centred care training
- experience of delivering care either formally or informally
- experience of working in a domiciliary, hospital, residential or nursing home setting
