Requirements
- A valid SIA Security License
- SIA License
- previous experience in a security role, preferably in an educational or similar environment
- previous experience in event security preferred but not essential
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- good report writing and record keeping skills
Responsibility
- patrol the facility, including buildings and grounds, to ensure security and safety
- monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry
- respond to emergencies and incidents and take appropriate action
- prepare reports and maintain records of incidents and activities
- liaise with staff, students, and visitors to promote a positive and secure environment
- attend meetings and training sessions as required
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations set out by the facility
- respond to emergency situations and incidents
