quality assurance manager
Responsibility
- develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes to identify areas for improvement
- work closely with the turning and milling departments to check parts quickly and accurately
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions effectively
- train and mentor staff on quality assurance practices, ensuring adherence to established protocols
- manage documentation related to quality assurance activities, including reports, audits, and compliance records
- PPAP & IMDS knowledge is preferred
Requirements
- proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within a CNC machining company
- understanding of manufacturing process's eg. Turning, 5 axis Milling, wire EDM, spark EDM, surface/cylindrical grinding
- confident using inspection equipment like shadow graphs, bore micrometre's, height gauges, screw/plug gauges etc
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly
- strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement
