Responsibility

  • organise and lead execution of scientific meetings, advisory boards, promotional meetings/events, working meetings
  • take the lead in ensuring projects across functions are signed off to the correct level of governance
  • this position is a critical role to support operational growth and maturity for Guardant Health’s International Europe, Canada and Americas organization
  • assist in the planning and execution of major operational / infrastructure projects, in partnership with Head of Operations
  • support shaping budget and sales tracking approaches and compile and deliver accurate reports to support management decision making
  • manage core tasks such as vendor set up, purchase orders, accruals and payments
  • in this role, you are responsible for supporting Operations and other functions including, Medical Affairs, Market Access and Senior Management
  • partner with International Senior Managers, develop internal operational policies and SOPs to help maintain governance, compliance and scale with the organization

Requirements

  • minimum 4-8 years of experience in an general operations role in healthcare and/or at a medical device, diagnostics or biopharmaceutical company
  • experience in clinical study management and coordination required
  • experience in a company and role with direct parallel to the business of Guardant Health preferred
  • clinical experience, oncology, cancer center, inpatient or outpatient or physician office setting experience a plus
  • formal training or proven experience in project management and preferred
  • experience with documentation development in a healthcare-compliant environment
  • experience in optimizing processes and practices in a rapidly changing environment
  • experience in the introduction of a novel products and services highly desired

business development

Responsibility

  • you’ll work closely with drug development companies to build partnerships using ctDNA based clinical trial services for biomarker discovery and development
  • you’ll guide and educate potential partners, whether biomarker researchers, translational medicine scientists, clinical development or global commercial teams
  • you will be critical to identifying and closing new companion diagnostic opportunities as they arise from clinical trial services
  • groups you’ll interact with regularly include Research Operations, Alliance Management, Bioinformatics, Quality, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Finance
  • you’ll manage new account onboarding activities including, lead generation, CRM data entry, due diligence and contract negotiation while also supporting strategic account initiatives, identifying and making new connections
  • as well as being externally focused, you’ll be well connected internally to address customer needs, working across functions to solve problems, find solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • collaboration is a key success factor. You’ll partner and problem solve with people across the research, clinical and business groups, must be able to influence and shape opinions and help teams reach decisions and deliver on customers’ needs
  • in coordination with Biopharma leadership, you will develop a strategy to expand existing transactional business to more fully integrated partnerships across Guardant’s suite of capabilities

Requirements

  • you have in-depth knowledge of oncology, companion diagnostics, and requirements to support global clinical trials
  • you have knowledge of the European clinical diagnostics market, including regulatory and reimbursement landscape
  • you can build and service multiple opportunities simultaneously, balancing emerging relationships with on-going ones, addressing needs on time
  • you have prior business development, sales, and/or consulting experience. You have worked within biopharma, diagnostics, CROs, or in a related life sciences area, and have knowledge of sequencing technologies
  • employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment
  • you have a strong desire to communicate complex business justifications, develop and close successful cross-functional collaborations, and bring in repeat business from multiple customers
  • you have a BA/BS scientific and/or business degree with 8-10 years of experience
