Requirements
- professional accounting qualification ACCA, ACA, or AAT Level 4 qualification strongly preferred
- minimum of 5 years of experience working for an accountancy practice
- strong technical accounting knowledge, including preparing accounts to FRS 102 1A
- extensive experience in managing UK tax compliance and reporting requirements including Corporation Tax, VAT and Employment tax
- experience with simple Self Assessment tax returns
- M&A and fundraising experience including issuing shares, preparing due diligence documentation and tax planning
- demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior staff
- excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to client service
Responsibility
- develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, harnessing technology solutions where relevant
- improving internal process and quality controls
- collaborate with company leadership to develop and execute growth strategies, including identifying new business opportunities and enhancing existing service offerings
- supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
- producing management accounts for a £2M revenue client
- preparing End of Year accounts
