Responsibility

  • providing secretarial support to the teaching staff as required, including general correspondence, forms and letters
  • dealing with telephone enquiries including giving initial information to prospective parents when necessary
  • in line with safeguarding, check all visitors into the school
  • general office duties

  • maintaining the schools Calendar and updating accordingly
  • maintaining and annually updating the School database for both pupils and parents
  • providing a full range of support and secretarial services to the Head as required, using discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information

Education

  • excellent administrative skills
  • high level of IT proficiency including accurate typing and keyboard skills
  • high level of discretion, understanding of and experience of maintaining confidentiality
  • awareness of policies and procedures relating to the safeguarding, health, safety and security and of other relevant legislation
  • excellent written and oral communication skills . Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences including staff, governors and pupils
