  • as Principal QA Engineer you will be owning the most challenging and technical test plans the project has to offer
  • you’ll have the experience and communication skills to extract the relevant information from any project department, working with server and infrastructure developers on non-player facing features, tools and framework updates

Requirements

  • comprehensive understandings of QA processes, testing terminology and games development methodology, particularly Agile practices and concepts
  • experience working in games-as-a-service projects
  • work closely with feature authors to identify bugs and risks early, focusing on bug prevention instead of retrospective detection
  • experience testing in an embedded environment in a cross-functional development team
  • use grey-box test techniques to run technical tests by utilising network tools, platform tools, internal server tools and Unity tools
  • grasp of technical challenges for mobile games QA e.g
  • identify opportunities for tooling and debug at the right time during development to enable testing of ‘under the hood’ features
  • apply test techniques like equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis and combinatorial matrices to make test plans efficient and effective
