Responsibility

  • the role will involve some backlog data capture of invoices and bank processing to bring the bookkeeping up to date
  • the candidate must be proficient in Xero
  • the candidate will be an experienced bookkeeper and/or already AAT qualified or equivalent
  • on behalf of our client in the hospitality business, who have a number of successful and well-known Public Houses, my firm is looking for a bookkeeper
  • this will also be a good probationary task to see if the candidate has a good understanding of the principles of double entry book-keeping and does not just rely on the software controls
  • once the probationary period is completed, the candidate can then go on to develop the role to include monthly management accounts, filing of VAT returns and payroll
  • the role is not suitable for candidates who wish to use the appointment as a stepping-stone to go on and do professional examinations so candidates who are in the process of qualifying for same should not apply
  • the candidate will be allowed to work from home, but they will be required to attend our office as part of the supervisory process one day a week
