estimator
Responsibility
- cost estimation, pricing and coordination of design concepts
- contract negotiation and presentation for clients and subcontractors; tender document management
- to assist in the preparation of selected elements of the complete commercial and pricing element of a tender or cost plan
- review of building contracts and analysis of contract terms
- to undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties within a department to ensure its smooth running
- quantity surveying and project cash flow forecasting
- to process documents received from a range of sources in line with department standards and requirements
- acquisition and assessment of client requirements, including after-sales service and CRM
Requirements
- working towards a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a similar field
- excellent IT skills – proficient in Microsoft suite of programmes
- proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred
- awareness of and adherence to company policies and health and safety requirements
- strong understanding of cost control practices and methodologies
- proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated
