• ▶ Work with the Front of House Manager to develop a monthly rota to cover all duties
• ▶ Perform as a duty manager
• ▶ Maintain excellent service levels across all team members
• ▶ Serve customers
• ▶ Manage stock levels and receive deliveries
• ▶ Team coaching and development including appraisals and supervisions
• the ideal candidate will have good physical fitness in order to move stock to multiple locations across a 40 acre site . You will also be reliable, punctual, versatile and calm under pressure
• ▶ Ensure the abbey is fully compliant with health and hygiene requirements in the cafes and at Abbey House
• ▶ Financial procedures such as banking and end of day reports
• ▶ Deliver reports and performance information
• ▶ Recruit temporary or seasonal staff as required

Requirements

• ▶ Full UK Driving License

• ▶ Lead on the development, implementation, and evaluation of our Volunteer Programme
• ▶ Manage and lead on volunteer policies, procedures, and standards
• ▶ Embed good practice in volunteer management, training, motivation, recruitment, and safeguarding
• ▶ Design and deliver plans to recruit the right volunteers with the right skills to match the needs of the abbey
• ▶ Coordinate, develop and deliver appropriate induction and training for volunteers to be successful in their positions
• ▶ Work with colleagues to develop volunteer training pathways that reflect the needs and expectations of the abbey and the volunteers
• ▶ Ensure that volunteer roles, guidelines, procedures, record keeping, and evaluation systems are followed and maintained
• ▶ Ensure that volunteers receive the appropriate level of supervision and support
• ▶ Help build a culture of shared responsibility for the quality of the Volunteer Programme
• ▶ Manage volunteer communications and engagement and develop and manage initiatives that increase the motivation and recognition of volunteers
• ▶ Manage the volunteer budget and develop and maintain the resources needed to run the Volunteer Programme
