- purpose of Giroscope provides affordable housing to those in housing need
- you will be expected to work across all aspects of a sustained tenancy from pre-tenancy to a managed move-on
- post: Housing Officer
- responsible To: Housing Manager
- housing Manager. You will provide help and support for our existing tenants, prospective tenants and other people that approach the organisation with a housing need
- to complete tenancy checks for prospective tenants
- to monitor rent arrears and assist the tenant whenever possible to address these, by means of; an agreed payment plan, assisting with claims for welfare benefits & housing benefit, or referring to debt agencies if there are multiple debts
- to assist new tenants with anything required to set up their new home, such as housing benefit/universal credit claims, community support grant applications, registering with utility companies, signposting to support agencies and obtaining new furniture by way of grant applications
